Wow! The rally last night was a huge success.  It was standing room only.  The next time we meet we may have to rent the new Dallas Cowboy stadium!

In an effort to more effectively organize local tea party groups, a new website has been created at www.GotTeaParty.com.  Please visit this site for the latest updates on meeting times and places, etc.

Seriously, "We The People" are not the "Silent Majority" any longer.  The Tea Party movement is growing and growing and growing.  Americans are not going to sit idolly by and watch while radicals distort our country.  We are going to promote our core values of 1) limited government, 2) fiscal responsibility, 3) personal responsibility 4) rule of law and 5) national sovereignty.

 Please plan to attend the 912 Rally at the Van Zandt County Courthouse at noon on Saturday September 12. Tell your friends and bring our family.  Bring your signs and flags.  Dean and I will be calling from the march in Washington DC.  We wish we could be there with you for this wonderful local event, but we'll see you when we return.

Dear fellow Van Zandt County citizen,

I remember a night when I tucked my child into bed and he looked up at me and said, “Mommy, I forgot to tell you that I need some cookies to take to school in the morning for our party”.  You don’t know whether to laugh or cry, but you know you cannot let them down.  It’s too late to go to the store, so you drag out the flour bin and get to work. 

That’s kind of how I feel right now and I hope you do too!  It’s getting very late, so we better drag ourselves up off those comfortable sofas and get out and get to work, because we MUST NOT LET THEM DOWN!

Please consider joining us for our Tea Party Rally.  It will be a great evening of inspirational speeches, patriotic music and fellowship with like-minded patriots.  We will have some literature to pass around and maybe a petition or two for you to sign.  Those petitions will be hand delivered by me.  It’s something that needs to be done because we MUST NOT LET THEM DOWN!

Our goal will be to form Tea Party groups in Canton, Wills Point and Edgewood.  What’s  a Tea Party Group, you may ask.  It’s a non-partisan group of concerned patriotic citizens who will organize, educate and become active in the political process to promote our Core Principals, because we MUST NOT LET THEM DOWN!

What are our “Core Principals”, you may ask.  Here they are in a nutshell:

1.      Limited government

2.      Fiscal responsibility

3.      Personal responsibility

4.      Rule of law

5.      National sovereignty

We believe strongly in the family institution and the preservation of the values and principals of our founding fathers.  We will fight for the Constitution and the preservation of our freedom.  Why?  Because we MUST NOT LET THEM DOWN!

Let’s show them that there is no more so called Silent Majority.  Get up off that couch and just remember, you can always Tivo that show and watch it later, because we MUST NOT LET THEM DOWN!

I’m a granny now, so that gives me six more reasons to get going, how about you?
